About

L'Abri du Marin de Sainte-Marine is an abri of the sailor, i.e. a former place of accommodation for mariners-fishers located at the port of Sainte-Marine, in the commune of Combrit in Finistère.

History: Built in 1910 by Jacques de Thézac, it is active until 1985. Purchased by the municipality in 1992, it hosts an association library and exhibitions. In 2007, he was recognized as a historical monument, and he knew great work to make it his first appearance. He opened in November 2008 as a museum. Today he presents the life of Jacques de Thézac, his founder, and Breton fishermen. Every year, exhibitions with maritime themes are organized. It has been listed under the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments since 1 October 2007.
