About

The castle of Guise is attested as early as the 10th century, transformed in the 16th century into a bastioned fortress, then rebuilt by Vauban, whose ruins stand on the commune of Guise in the department of Aisne in the Hauts-de-France region. The castle was the scene of 1,000 years of military history. It reflects the evolution of military architecture throughout the millennium.

After saving it from destruction, the club of the Old Manoir has been responsible, since 1952, for restoring it through youth construction sites, animation and opening it to the public.
