château de Bazouges
The castle of Bazouges is an ancient fortress built in the town of Bazouges-sur-le-Loir in the 11th century to defend the Haut-Anjou from any desire on the part of the House of Blois or the County of Maine. In the 15th century, the castle was radically redesigned to strengthen the defence of Anjou during the Hundred Years War. The castle rises on the banks of the Loir.
