History: Originally the chapel is a seigneurial foundation. We probably owe it to the lineage of Valentine who gave her their name. These are mentioned in medieval documentation from the 12th century onwards. At that time, the small sanctuary was the place of worship of a castle, near which one village had developed, one and the other had disappeared before the revolution. In the 20th century a new, larger chapel replaced the small medieval building that had been perpetuated thanks to the popularity of its pilgrimage.
