The covered alley of Petit Vieux Sou is a megalithic site located in Brecé, in the French department of Mayenne.
History: The building was mentioned for the first time by Mr. Pichot in 1907 in the bulletin of the Historical and Archaeological Commission of Mayenne, and a second time in 1908 by L. Trohel in his Celtic Memories of the Middle Ages and of Modern Times. In 1942, it appears that the grave was looted. The first archaeological excavation campaign took place only in 1978, and four more would follow until 1982. The covered aisle has been listed as historic monuments since 14 June 1988.
Description: The covered aisle was built at 157 m above sea level on the edge of a plateau overlooking the Colmont Valley. It is 11 m long with a constant width and height throughout 1.40 m. It is bounded by twenty-one orthostats. The whole is oriented northwest/southeast. The aisle has a lateral entrance, exactly in the middle of its length, characteristic feature of the covered aisles of the Armomeric type.
