Château de Kérouzéré

The castle of Kérouzéré, located in the municipality of Sibiril, is the only 15th century fortress that can be visited in Finistère. This castle was built between 1425 and 1458 by John II of Kérouzéré, an echanson of the Duke of Brittany John V. The fortress was besieged during the League War in 1590.

The castle was listed as a historic monument in 1883. Restorations were carried out in the 20th century by the family of the Lande de Calan, who is its current owner.
