oppidum de la Cloche
The Oppidum de la Cloche is an archaeological site located in the Bouches-du-Rhône (France), at the boundary between the communes of Rove and the Pennes-Mirabeau, on an advanced hill north of the Nerthe massif, overlooking the Nerthe road and is linked to its history. This site of the second iron age was probably founded in the third century BC. It may be from Teste-Negre's oppidum nearby.
It was completely rebuilt in the early first century BC and destroyed during the siege of Massilia by Julius Caesar's troops in -49 B.C.E. The site was listed as a historic monument in 2004.
