oppidum de Villejoubert
L'oppidum de Villejoubert is an archaeological site (Tene 3) located in the commune of Saint-Denis-des-Murs, Haute-Vienne department, France. This is one of the main archaeological sites of the Iron Age in Limousin, which according to the research corresponds to the capital of the Gaulish people of the Lemovices, who occupied most of the present Limousin territory in the first century BC. Named after the hamlet in its vicinity, this protohistoric oppidum was classified as a historical monument in 1981 and 1989 and registered in 1988.
