Refuge de l'Arche

The refuge de l'Arche is an establishment specialized in the reception of wild animals, located in Saint-Fort, south of the agglomeration of Château-Gontier, in Mayenne. The majority of the animals are from captives, from private individuals, seizures by the authorities, zoological park closures, laboratories. The establishment is open to the public so that visitors can be made aware of the use of wildlife in our society, through the many stories of its residents taken in front of the enclosures.

Public use of approximately 80,000 visitors per year contributes significantly to the financing of the sites. Michel Drucker and Dany Saval are the sponsors of the shelter, and Mylène Demongeot was his honorary president at the end of his life.
