The chapel Saint-Benoît is located at no 91 rue de la Libération in Marmande, Lot-et-Garonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

History: The chapel Saint-Benoît was the chapel of the convent of the Ladies of Saint-Benoît founded in 1645 by "high and powerful" Lady Jeanne Antoinette d'Esparbes de Lussan, Marquise de Grignols with the blessing of Bishop Barthélemy d'Elbène, bishop of Agen. His daughter, Hypolite de Grignols, who was a religious in Saintes, became her superior mother. The Marquise de Grignols bought land in the area of Lestang in Pierre Rougier in 1646 as well as other buildings to build the walled convent. We can read the date "1662" on the portal which is probably the date of the end of construction of the chapel. Important work on the convent buildings was carried out by Marsaudon around 1760. The convent was seized as a national good in 1790. It serves as a forage warehouse and then as a showroom by the municipality.
