Château d'Aubenas

A figure of ardèche civil architecture, the castle of Aubenas, also known as Château de Montlaur, is located in the commune of Aubenas, in the department of Ardèche and the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This "building with metamorphoses" bears the mark of the six seigneurial families that have inhabited it since the XIII the century until the Revolution. It has been classified as historical monuments since 2 March 1943. In 2024, after seven years of work, the castle of Aubenas, the most emblematic monument of the Ardecho city, became a contemporary art center.
