The Musée des Comtes de Provence is located in the former Palace of the Counts of Provence, at the top of the old town of Brignoles (Var). Created in 1950 by the doctor and felibre André Jaubert (1870-1961), the museum presents collections related to regional ethnography, the history of Provence and an important collection of paintings by provençal painters from the 16th to the 19th century. On 1 January 2024, the Musée des Comtes de Provence closed its doors to the public for several years in order to begin a major rehabilitation, carried by the Community of Agglomeration of Provence Verte.
