La Verna Cave, or more precisely La Verna Hall, is a natural cavity designed for tourism, located in the French commune of Sainte-Engrâce, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. An artificial tunnel 660 metres long gives access to this underground room, which is part of the karst network of the Pierre-Saint-Martin. It is the largest underground room in the world to be visited. It was discovered on August 13, 1953 by speleologists Jimmy Théodor, Georges Lépineux, Daniel Epelly, Michel Letrône and Georges Ballandraux.
In 2003, a balloon with four people on board, made a spectacular flight in the La Verna Hall.
