Hesdin's Belfroi is located in the centre of Hesdin, in the department of Pas-de-Calais. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 15 July 2005.

Belfry of Hesdin

Characteristics: The Hesdin Belfry is a quadrangular stone tower with a square base that rises on three levels of equal dimensions. The third level is crowned by an openwork platform with a volute decor. From this platform rises a fourth level, pierced on each side of a door window and crowned with an arcade frieze. An octagonal stone lantern surmounted by a lantern covered with slate cap. The lantern contains a bell of 2 tons. The interior contains three vaulted vaulted cells. The ancient parts of the belfry are protected as historical monuments: inscription by decree of 2 December 1946.
