About

The church Saint-Michel, located in the delegated municipality of Allenwiller in the European community of Alsace, is a parish church built in the thirteenth century. In 1687 it became a simultaneous church and the rest until the construction of the Catholic church in 1906. The fortified bell tower remains from the original church, which may have been complementary to a fortified nave or cemetery whose existence, however, could not be clearly demonstrated. The nave was rebuilt at least twice: once in the Middle Ages, perhaps in the 14th century, and a second time in 1739.
