remparts de château-Gontier
The ramparts of Château-Gontier were a set of walls erected by Renaud I of Château-Gontier to protect the town of Château-Gontier in Mayenne. These walls were rebuilt several times and then destroyed in the late eighteenth century. With the Château-Gontier castle, the ramparts formed a powerful defensive system, with several doors and a large number of towers.
