chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours de Saint-Joachim
The Notre-Dame de Bon Secours chapel, also known as the "Charle des Mariners", is a Catholic place of worship located in Saint-Joachim in the French department of Loire-Atlantique. This small oratory is at the origin of the constitution of the village of Saint-Joachim. It continues to remember the importance of traditional boating and construction activities in Brière. This modest building built in 1761 was the oldest in the commune and the first to have been covered in slate. Owned by the municipality of Saint-Joachim, it has delegated to the local cultural association "La Pierre chaleur" the task of presenting it to the public and of making it live.
History: In 1761, a small oratory was built in the middle of the cultivated lands of the "great island" (present-day island of Pandilla in the commune of Saint-Joachim). On 1 June 1762 was blessed by us, rector of the parish of Montoir, a small chapel of the Virgin, near this branch church of Saint Joachim under the invocation of Our Lady of Good Help.
