cimetière de Dud Corner
The Dud Corner Cemetery is a British military cemetery in the province of Loos-en-Gohelle, Pas-de-Calais, north of Lens. His name, Dud corner, refers to the large number of unexploded enemy shells found on the ground. This cemetery is linked to the battle of Loos but the Memorial also recalls the battle of the Lys and the fighting of the Grenay sector. In September 2023, the cemetery was one of 139 World War I memorial and funeral sites listed as a World Heritage Site at the 45th Session of the World Heritage Committee.
