alignements du Ménec
The Ménec alignment is a megalithic alignment of Carnac, in the Morbihan in France.
Location: The alignment is located to the north of the village of Carnac, along the road RD196 between the hamlets of Ménec and the Croix-Audran. The whole is separated in two parts by RD119 which links the hamlet of the city of Runell to the village of Carnac, the so-called alignment of Toulchignan constituting the most eastern part.
History: The construction of the village of Ménec and that of the departmental road that splits the site into two parts probably led to the disappearance of a number of stones. Alignment is classified as historical monuments on the 1889 list.
Description: The alignment is 950 m long with an overall southwest/northeast orientation. The alignment has at its western end a megalithic enclosure, but much more off-set towards the south, whose architecture is difficult to discern because it is totally nestled in the village of Ménec.
