Maroeuil British Cemetery

The British military cemetery of Marœuil in Pas-de-Calais is home to 571 graves of soldiers fallen during the Great War. The dates of death were between March 13, 1916 and January 24, 1919. Of the 571 soldiers buried, 7 were Germans, 2 Indians, 30 Canadians, and the rest (532) were from the United Kingdom. It should be noted that it is in this cemetery that Georges Henry Waters, the paternal grandfather of Roger Waters, former member of the British rock band Pink Floyd, rests.
