The statue of the Virgin Mary – Notre-Dame du Retour – overlooks the village of Ussel-d'Allier, in Bourbonnais (region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes). It is to the north of the commune, on the edge of the D223, on the heights between Ussel and Étroussat.
