chapelle Notre-Dame de Locmaria-an-Hent
The chapel Notre-Dame de Locmaria-an-Hent is a Catholic church located in the commune of Saint-Yvi, Finistère, Brittany. In Cornouaillais Gothic style, it was built from the 15th century as a trevial church in the parish of Elliant. Its enclosure also includes a calvary and an ossuary.
Located on the route of the ancient Roman road from Quimper to Vannes, it is part of the Tro Breiz stages. In 1792, the terroir of Locmaria-an-Hent was combined with that of the truve of Saint-Yvi to form the present commune of Saint-Yvi. The monumental complex was classified as a historical monument in 1910 and the trees of the placister were protected as a natural site listed in 1931.
