Baptistère Saint-Jean (Le Puy-en-Velay)

The Baptistère Saint-Jean is a Baptistery located in Puy-en-Velay, in the French department of Haute-Loire in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. He is part of the episcopal group of Notre Dame Cathedral. He is one of the few paleo-Christian Baptisteries still in high elevation in Gaul.

It has been classified as historical monuments since 1840, the date of the first such protection in France. Together with the cathedral, it is listed as a World Heritage Site under the title of Santiago de Compostela.
