sanctuaire gallo-romain de Bû
The Gallo-Roman sanctuary of Bû is an ancient cultural complex located in the commune of Bû, in the north of the French department of Eure-et-Loir. Probably frequented from the 1st to the 4th century AD, the sanctuary consists of a temple, rebuilt at least once, and related buildings. Eye-shaped ex-votos found on site may have suggested to some researchers that this sanctuary would be dedicated to the cult of healing waters of eye ills.
However, the comparison with finding sites of these ex-votos in different contexts makes it necessary to consider this assertion. The remains were classified as historical monuments in 1986.
