Castellas is a former castle, today ruined, whose remains stand on the French commune of Saint-Victor-la-Coste in the department of Gard, in the Occitanie region. The ruins of Castellas are listed as historical monuments.

Location: The ruins of the castle are located on a rocky pyramid overlooking the vast plain of Bas-Rhône and Comtat, in the commune of Saint-Victor-la-Coste, in the French department of Gard. The Castellas with its powerful fortifications, dominated the plain of the Tave, and its towers one could monitor the Rhône valley but also the roads leading to Uzès, a powerful city during the Middle Ages.

History: The village of Saint-Victor-la-Coste is the only agglomeration of the Tave Valley with a rocky piton, which explains the construction of a fortress on the north side of the hill, and which is now called Castellas.
