The south lock bridge of the Yutz crown is a French bridge in the Moselle department, located on an artificial arm of the river of the same name. It is part of the communal territory of Thionville and has been classified as historical monuments since 1984.
Toponymy: This bridge is known under other names, namely: Cormontaigne Bridge and lock-bridge of the water entrance. Or more simply south lock bridge. It has been listed as the Southern Lock Bridge of the Yutz Courtyard since December 21, 1984.
History: Designed by Louis de Cormontaigne, the bridge was built between 1746 and 1752. Its counterpart located further north is not, in 2016, administratively unprotected and in a rather dilapidated state.
