The Beaumont-sur-Sarthe Romanesque Bridge is a medieval arched art work located between the communes of Beaumont-sur-Sarthe and Maresché, within the French department of Sarthe, in the Pays de la Loire region. This bridge overlooks the waters of the Sarthois River at the so-called "La Croix Verte". The work of art was built between the 11th and 12th centuries, while the Belmontese city, called at that time "Beaumont-le-Vicomte", was founded by one of the lords from the lineage of the Viscounts of Maine.
The Belmont bridge, of Romanesque architecture, was subsequently rebuilt with the help of carved stone blocks, which had been put together. It was subject to two partial destructions, one in 1562, at the time of the Calvinist insurrections within the Kingdom of France; the other in 1944, when German troops retreated against those of the Allied forces. On 18 January 1988, a ministerial decree gave the former bridge connecting the towns of Beaumont and Maresché an inscription on the list of historical monuments of France.
