The chapel of Clémencé also known as Chapelle Notre-Dame de Clémencé is a 14th-century Catholic building located in Saint-Cyr-la-Rosière, France.
Location: The chapel is located in the French department of Orne, in the commune of Saint-Cyr-la-Rosière.
The chapel is dated from the 14th or 15th century. The building would occupy the site of an oak with a statue of the Virgin and a place of pilgrimage known for healing. The sister of the seigneur of the place, Michelle des Feugerets, would have been cured of claudification. The building is built by and enjoys indulgences from the middle of the 15th century. A pilgrimage takes place around September 8. The chapel was enlarged in the 17th century, a vault of lambris is dated 1629 and works take place in the 19th century. The building has been listed as historic monuments since November 14, 1977. A safeguard association was established in 2006.
The chapel has a single nave, a tile roof and a flat bedside. Four stained glass windows adorn the building, the building is decorated with 19th-century paintings and 17th-century paintings representing the twelve apostles. The chapel...
