Les Bolards

Les Bolards is a Gallo-Roman archaeological site located in the commune of Nuits-Saint-Georges (Côte-d'Or), south-east of the present agglomeration. The city's original name has been lost in time and the name "Les Bolards" probably dates back to the Middle Ages. Part of the ancient city was searched for remains separated in two parts: part of the dwellings and part of the shrines. The aerial surveys carried out by René Goguey in the 1960s estimated the area of the ancient agglomeration at about 20 hectares.
