The former Saint-Pierre de Doullens church is located in the centre of Doullens, north of the Somme department, about 30 kilometers north of Amiens.
History: Saint Peter's Church was built in the early 13th century and completed in the 1220s. It was reshaped in the Renaissance, but the French Revolution was fatal. She suffered destruction: disused and sold as a national property on 28 thormidor year VIII, she lost her choir, transept, stained glass and furniture. It is used as a hangar, workshop... The building escaped demolition in 1912 during a street realignment, then again in 1924 with a decision to purchase the city council to destroy it. The militant action of the Friends of Old Doullens Association saves what remained of the building. The remains of the church are protected as historical monuments: classification by decree of 4 September 1924.
