The chapel Notre-Dame-de-Pitié de Seix is a 17th-century church located on Rue de la Chapelle, in the town of Seix, in the Ariège department, France.
History: The church dates back to the 17th century, a 1660 milled stone carved with three lily flowers is located above the gate. It is registered as historical monuments by order of 24 March 2014.
Location: It is in the village at 516 m above sea level, near the Salat (left bank) with the garden of the adjoining presbytery and maintained according to the tradition of parish gardens.
Description: It is a chapel of 190 m2 with a single nave rectangular and covered in occitane tile, with a bell and two oculi on the facade. Inside, with a double stand, there is a altarpiece consisting of three baroque paintings, painted by Riccardo Pedoya (1835-1895).
Furniture: Under its humble appearance, however, the chapel contains important protected furniture. Dedicated to Marian worship, two pietas (XVI and XVII centuries) were used in processions; they were transferred nearby to the church of Saint-Étienne.
