colonne commémorative de Montmirail
Montmirail's commemorative column, also known as Montmirail Marchais-en-Brie, is a column of neo-classical style raised to commemorate the victory of Napoleonic troops against Russian-Prussian troops during the Battle of Montmirail in the Marne and the other French victories of February 1814 during the Six-Day campaign. Built under the Second Empire on the boundary of the municipalities of Montmirail (Marne) and Dhuys-et-Morin-en-Brie (Aisne), at the location where Napoleon I was held during the battle, it has been listed as historical monuments since December 2012.
