Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption Chapel is a chapel located in the commune of Saint-Bon-Tarentaise in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The chapel was built in the 1950s with the development of the Courchevel winter sports resort, the chapel being located in the village of Courchevel 1850. It has been listed as a historical monument since 17 January 2005 and has been labeled "Twentieth Century Heritage" since 2003.

History: Designed in 1953 by Denys Pradelle and Jean Prouvé, the Notre-Dame de l'Assomption chapel has several phases of construction. The first phase of work began in 1953, while the sacristy began in 1955. The chapel was completed in the late 1950s and was later blessed on August 13, 1961. In 1970, the chapel was the subject of a double extension: lateral by moving the glass façade facing the southwest and longitudinal by adding an entrance porch to the plans of architect Philippe Quinquet. Finally, a bell tower independent of the chapel (outwork) was built on the chapel in 1992, the year of the Games...
