château d'Avully
The Château d'Avully is a 14th-century old fortified house, capital of the seigneury of Avully, located in the commune of Brenthonne in the department of Haute-Savoie, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The ruins of the former fortified house, which has since been restored, are listed as historical monuments by order of 3 May 1974. Previously, on 30 August 1946, an order of the Ministry of National Education (architecture section), based on the law of 2 May 1930 and on the opinion of the Departmental Commission of Sites, had classified the entire site as "the picturesque site of Haute-Savoie", on several hectares bounded by the stream of Avully, the paths of Bons-en-Chablais in Armoy and the vicinal road.
