musée d'art et d'histoire de Draguignan
The Museum of Fine Arts of Draguignan is the main municipal museum of the city of Draguignan, former prefecture of Var until 1974. Located in the historic centre of the commune, it has been located since 1888 in the former summer palace of Monseigneur du Bellay, bishop of Fréjus from 1739 to 1766. Its rich collections, made up of a didactic and universalist perspective, focus on regional archaeology and the history of the city as well as on fine arts and decorative arts, of which ten rooms contain remarkable works. After six and a half years of closure for renovation, the museum reopened its doors on November 16, 2023.
