The Musée-Library François Petrarque, in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, is mainly dedicated to the work of poets François Petrarque (1304-1374) and René Char (1907-1988). Founded in 1927 on the left bank of the Sorgue, it is located at the supposed location of the poet's house in the 14th century.
The Musée-bibliothèque François Petrarque is distinguished by the name "Musée de France", beneficiary of the label Maisons des Illustres and member of the Federation of Writers' Houses and Literary Heritages. It also belongs to the VaucluseMuseMuseum networks of the Department of Vaucluse.
