About

Jean Diot and Bruno Lenoir are the last two Frenchmen known to have been sentenced to the death penalty because of a homosexual practice. After a six-month trial, they were strangled and burned in Paris, in place of Grève, on 6 July 1750. In 2014, a commemorative plaque was inaugurated to remember them.
