The Guards' Cemetery (Cemetery of the Guards Division of Combles) is a military cemetery in the municipality of Combles, in the department of the Somme, north-east of Amiens.
Location: This military cemetery is located southwest of the village, rue André Briffeuil, just after the last houses. It is located about 50 metres from the road. It is accessed by a small grassed path.
History: The village of Combles entered in the early morning of September 26, 1916, by units of the 56th (London) Division and the French army. He remained in the hands of the allies until March 24, 1918, when the place was taken over by the Germans until his final release on August 29, 1918 by the 18th division. The Guard Cemetery was started by the Guard Division in September 1916, and continued by other units until March 1917, and to a lesser extent in March, August and September 1918. It contained at armistice 100 graves, 19 of which were officers and men of the Foot Guards. There are now nearly 186 victims of the 1914-18 war on this site (182...
