pont du Veurdre
The Veurdre Bridge is a Cantilever-type road bridge, built in 1948 on the Allier and inaugurated on February 5, 1949. It is located between the municipalities of Veurdre (Allier) and Livry (Nevere). It would be one of the first bridges in Europe built with the Cantilever Bridge technique. It replaces a concrete bridge built by Eugene Freyssinet in 1910 and destroyed during the Second World War, the first bridge built with this technique.
