Château d'Aulteribe

The castle of Aulteribe is a castle of Puy-de-Dôme in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in the municipality of Sermentizon. It is located on the first foothills of the Livradois Mountains. In the Roman era, the Agrippa route which led from Lyon to Saintes by Clermont-Ferrand and Limoges passed not far from the castle. The Castle of Aulteribe, like about a hundred other monuments, owned by the State, is managed, animated and open to visit by the National Monuments Centre.
