château de Nérac
The Château de Nérac is a Louis XII style building, forming the transition between Gothic art and the First Renaissance, which is located in the commune of Nérac, in the French department of Lot-et-Garonne. Completed during the reign of Jeanne d'Albret, who held his court there, the castle was dismantled during the French Revolution. The north wing, the only one to have been preserved, was classified as historic monuments in 1862. Today it houses the Nerac Museum, dedicated to the Albret family and the Renaissance in general.
