Château Saint-Clair

Château Saint-Clair is a former castle located near the Chaume pier, in the Sables d'Olonne in Vendée. The most famous element of this castle is the tower of Arundel, which supports the lighthouse of the Chaume. It was built in the present state around the 14th and 15th centuries by the princes of Talmont, but the fortress is at the oldest base, it would date from the 12th century.
