About

Kergalan's covered driveway, also known as Laudé's covered driveway, is located in Ploemeur in the French department of Morbihan.

Description: The tumulus has been completely damaged by the agricultural works and the monument is not in very good condition, all slabs are bent. It has been preserved 12 m long. Only a row of four lateral orthostats, a covering slab and a pillar at the southeast end are still visible. The driveway is oriented northwest/southeast. Archaeological excavations carried out in 2004 raised the northern pillar and discovered a circular slab of 1.20 m in diameter. In 2006, two strikers and a flint tip were discovered. A polished stone axe was found nearby during road construction in the 1950s.
