About

The dolmens of Saint-Sébastien are two dolmens located on a ridge line separating the municipalities of Plan-de-la-Tour and Sainte-Maxime, in the department of Var in France. These two dolmens were discovered in 1970 and 1971 following a fire. They are characterized by a very similar architecture and are attached to the dolmens group with corridor and square chamber of eastern Provence.

In both buildings, the corridors are short and lead to the periphery of the tumulus, characteristic common in Languedoc but exceptional for this type of small provencal dolmens. The two dolmens were searched by Gérard Sauzade, Jean Courtin and Gabriel Chabaud. Dolmen #2 delivered a rich funeral furniture.
