Saint-Benoît d'Encalcat (Abbey : Dourgne, France)

The Abbey of Saint-Benoît d'En Calcat is an active Benedictine abbey in the congregation of Subiaco Mont-Cassin. It is located in the hamlet of En Calcat depending on Dourgne in the Tarn. In 2021 the community was made up of some 40 monks.

The abbey is known for the edition of the Books of Hours of En Calcat, with a repertoire of new songs in French. The liturgy is celebrated in French, with Gregorian songs. Sainte-Scholastic abbey, an abbey of nuns, is located 1,200 metres away from En Calcat, before the village of Dourge.
