In Armorica, Aleth or the city of Aleth (also written Alet, and Aled in Breton) was once the capital of the Celtic people of Coriosolites (except when the capital was Corsul), then became a Gallo-Roman stronghold, a city in the Middle Ages and finally a fortress in the following centuries.
