The former Church of the Ladies of Battant is a former religious building located in Besançon, in the French department of Doubs. The church was part of a convent of the Order of Citeaux.

History: In 1226 an abbey of young girls of the order of Citeaux was founded in the Battant district, which was then outside the city walls. Faced with the threat of siege of the city, and after their monastery was dismantled by the city in 1595, the nuns were moved inside the walls of the enclosure and eventually settled in the barn street in the early eighteenth century. The church was built between 1714 and 1720 on the plans of Dom Perrod, abbot general of the Cistercians. At the time of the French Revolution, the church was looted and seized, and worship has not since been practised. The entire church has been listed as historic monuments since 18 February 1942.
