Everly Castle is a destroyed castle, of which only the park and some retaining walls remain, which was located on the town of Everly (Seine-et-Marne).
History: Everly's name was mentioned in the 12th century. The first known lord in 1154 was Girard d'Averly. At the beginning of the fourteenth century, part of Everly, the fief of the "Court of Averly", belonged to Chailly's family. In the 15th century, widow Philippe de Chailly left the estate to Jeanne de Hémery, her cousin wife of Charles de Brichantel. The daughter of these, Catherine de Brichanteau, married Jean du Roux, lord of Sigy. After the Wars of Religion, Gabriel de la Vallée acquired the estate, expanded it and built a castle. He died a century in 1610. Her grand-neve, Gabriel de La Vallée Fossez, inherits. He had the land erected as a marquisat and the locality erected in 1626. His daughter married Henri de Mesme, who bought the baronie de Bray-sur-Seine from the Duke of Nemours. In 1655 Antoinette-Louise de Mesme married Louis-Victor de Rochechouart, Duke of Vivonne-Mortemart and brother of the Marquise de Montespan.
