église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Noisy-le-Sec
Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church is a Catholic church located on Dombasle Street in Noisy-le-Sec. On this site, a chapel was built in 1912, which soon proved small. The new church was built in 1929 by the Cardinal's Work of Buildings.
The first stone was laid on 23 June 1929 by Bishop Eugène Crépin, auxiliary bishop of Paris, then inaugurated, still unfinished, on 11 January 1931 by Cardinal Jean Verdier. The plan of Bernard Haubold, chief architect of historical monuments, has never been completed. The bell tower was demolished by World War II bombings.
A first restoration carried out in the 1950s altered its façade. It was subsequently renovated and transformed in 1978.
