amphitéâtre de Drevant
The Gallo-Roman theatre of Drevant is a building of ancient performances located in the commune of Drevant, in the department of Cher, region Centre-Val de Loire. The architecture of the theatre, which is 85 m in diameter, is relatively well known thanks to still imposing remains. Its history, on the other hand, is more imprecise: it is the subject of several construction campaigns and reshuffles between the first and third centuries before being abandoned in the next century.
Its ruins serve as foundations for building buildings in the Middle Ages and it never completely disappears from the landscape. Its remains are classified as historical monuments by the list of 1840, like all those of the site known at the time.
